We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in a clinical setting, understands the importance of efficiency, and has strong knowledge of cardiovascular terminology and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with prior experience in a cardiology setting. Must be a fast and accurate typist, comfortable navigating EMRs, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and medication lists
• Assist with EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitor setups, and other cardiology-specific procedures
• Accurately document clinical notes and provider dictations in the EMR system
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments
• Support providers during in-office procedures
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and ensure equipment is properly stocked and sterilized
• Communicate with patients regarding test instructions, results, and follow-up care
• Provide excellent customer service in a busy clinical environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (cardiology preferred)
• Strong understanding of medical and cardiovascular terminology
• Proficient in typing (45+ WPM) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred but not required
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) a plus
